It is a distillate of wine produced in the French region of Gascony, where there are three production areas: Bas-Armagnac, Haut-Armagnac and Ténarèze. The wines from which Armagnac is produced come from four grapes: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Folle Blanche and Baco Blanc.

Production: The Armagnac is distilled in special stills in which the alcohol vapours pass bottom-up through counter top. Only vintage wines are distilled to produce Armagnac and always in winter. The brandy produced rests in new black oak barrels. After the ageing period, the product is packaged in flask bottles called cruchon.

Characteristics: Nose of vanilla. Discreet and delicate wood, but present. Notes of dried apricot, citrus fruits. Flexible coupling, and aromatic explosion: spices, dried fruit, liquorice, vanilla.
